Insights is where I write up what client work taught me. Each piece is a case study or a field note: what the situation was, what we tried, what we changed, and what the client said happened. I write them because the people who hire Green Thoughts Consulting usually read something first and book a call second, and because writing a thing down is the only way I know to be sure I understood it.
The subjects come from the work. Reading a small-market Google Ads account honestly, including when the right answer is to turn the ads off. Why proximity can beat reviews in local search, and what that means for a practice choosing where to show up. What go-to-market readiness looks like for a technical product before anyone has bought it. How contractors actually buy, learned from a product we built for them. How a professional-services site should follow the way its buyer decides.
A few rules I hold to. Clients are named only with their permission, and they see the final text. Numbers appear only when the client stated them and agreed to publish them; what I can measure myself, in Search Console or in AI answers, is verified and dated rather than quoted from memory. When something we did was a misstep, the piece says so and says what changed, because the candor is the useful part.
Each piece ends with the questions it usually raises and a link to the service it supports: consulting, custom web design or custom development. If you recognise your own situation in one of them, the fastest next step is a call.
