What custom means here

A custom site is designed for a named audience, not to impress its owner. We work by the Define–Design–Traffic–Convert method (DDTC), and design is its second phase: everything on the page comes from what Define found about the people the site is for, who they are and are not, what they want, and the exact words they use for it.

That changes what gets built. The pages follow the questions your buyer asks, in their order. The language on the page is the language they use when they describe what they want. The structure is set so search engines and AI answers can read it, and so that a rebuild keeps the rankings the old site earned. Nothing is chosen because it looks like what other firms in your field have.

Jeff designs and builds the site, with collaborators brought in for a specific piece when a project needs one. There is one person to call about the site, and it is the person who made it.

Who it is for

We design for owners of law firms, medical practices and established businesses with several employees: people whose site has to work for a specific kind of client and keep working for years. See what that looks like for law firms and medical practices.

We are not the fastest or lowest-priced option, and we say so without any opinion about the shops that are. A site built this way costs more than a template and takes longer, because the audience work comes first. Builds are scoped as projects, each with its own scope and price, separate from any consulting retainer.

How a site gets built

Four steps, mapped to the four phases of the DDTC Method. No durations here; a build is scoped as a project with its own timeline.

  1. Name the audience

Define comes first. Who the site is for and who it is not for, where those people spend time online, what they want and what repels them, and the words they use. This is written down before any page is sketched.

  2. Design for them

Every page is designed for the people Define named: the order of their questions, their language, their reasons to call. Structure, content and layout come out of the same document.

  3. Build and launch with traffic in mind

The site goes live with its technical SEO done, its redirects mapped if it replaces an old site, and its content structured so search engines and AI answers can cite it.

  4. Measure what converts

Forms, calls and bookings are wired to measurement from day one, so we can say what the site did, not just what it looked like.

Common questions

What does custom web design mean here?

A site designed for a named audience from the Define phase outward: their questions, their words, their reasons to act. It is not a template with your logo on it, and it is not a design chosen to impress the owner.

Can you rebuild a site without losing rankings?

Yes, and it is one of the situations we consult on most. Every URL that earns traffic is mapped, the redirects and technical foundation are set before launch, and we watch search afterward. The Consulting page covers rebuilds and migrations.

What does a custom site cost?

Builds are scoped as projects, each with its own scope and price. The retainer floor published on the Consulting page applies to ongoing consulting only, not to a build.

Do you build small sites?

Yes, when the fit is right. The portfolio includes owner-operated local businesses as well as professional firms. A small site still starts with Define, so it is scoped as a project like any other.
